Sunday Services at Brookside

Think of a church service and what comes to mind may be cold wooden pews, dusty hymn books, singing hymns from hundreds of years ago, boring sermons and so on. Well at Brookside we believe God wants worship to be enjoyable and, while tradition has its place, there is room for informal worship too where people smile, discuss, have fun and make things.

We are always delighted to see new people come through our door and to provide them with a warm welcome. After morning services tea, coffee and biscuits are served in the lounge where there is the opportunity to get to know us better.

If there is anything that you want to talk about, good or bad, then we have people who are willing to listen and, if you want, pray for the situation.

Cafe Worship - on the 4th Sunday at 10.30am in November, January, March, May, July, September

Cafe Worship is a different form of worship where we sit round tables and have topical discussions over hot drinks and snacks. We sing songs to images on screens that give a different view of the song sometimes in a serious way and others in a humorous way. If the thought of a traditional service discourages you from coming to Brookside then try one of our Cafe Worship services.

Messy Church - 4.30pm every first Sunday in the month except August

Messy Church is almost the opposite of what you'd expect from a church service. Each service has a theme and craft-related activities for all ages are available in our hall where you can make all sorts of interesting items or generally get messy with paint, clay, glitter, glue or many other items. After this a short story-time with a song takes place in the church followed by some food in the lounge. If you want to see just how fun and different church can be then come along to one of these services.

Second Sunday of the month

9.00am - Traditional Communion Service

10.30am - All-Age Worship

6.30pm - Circuit Service, held at a Methodist Church in the Peterborough circuit.

Third, Fourth and Fifth Sundays of the month

     10.30am - Traditional Service

     6.30pm - Worship in the Chapel area
